DAD'S SURPRISE PARTY

Saturday we had dad's surprise birthday party in Heber. We have been planning this for quite awhile, and boy did we get him good! We thought that he had found out several times these past weeks but as he put it "Its a good thing I'm deaf"! He really had no clue until we walked him into the auditorium. He was so shocked, there was about 85 of his family and closest friends there. The theme was the "50's".
Our good friend and neighbor, Sarai Franco made this amazing cake!
I love this side of the cake, he was a referee for over 30 yrs and a coach to my sisters

The next few pictures of the party, Lance was the emcee for the night and did a great job. Some of the things that were said were so dang funny and some were just touching. My dad has truly had an impact on the community and our family!
Autumn with Lance's newest, Porter
Aunt Sadie, Uncle Bud, Kristal . In the right background is my mom's sister, Laverne and her husband Gene.
To the left of Kristal is Uncle Paul's bride to be, Lee and Shannon

Hailey, Lance, Brinlee, Mom, Dad and Uncle Paul

Sky and Summer. In the background Shannon had a table full of  50's candy.
Mom and I put a few pictures together of dad.
Dad, Aunt Colleen, Uncle Paul, and Uncle Bud
Aunt Colleen and Lance
Kandra and Skyler-- Who needs a stake dance when you can dance with  your aunt?

What a fun time. I read all the quotes, from former students, that your Dad used to say..he is so darn funny!
I am glad the party was a great success! Where was Gavin in the picture?

Love your Easter background..how fun!

I saw the quotes on FB. Kandra had asked for friends to write a memory and all the replies came back to me too!

What a great thing to have done for your dad. It was great seeing current pics of the kids. Summer looks sooo prego, and Skyler is so tall. You must have fed him a growing bean when he was younger! heehee.

Trust you to be on the ball and make this great post so quickly. It was such a fun party and Dad was a trooper and held up well. He really had a good time and it was neat for him to hear the funny stories and the serious ones as well. We really appreciate all the hard work you all went to.

I too love your Easter background.
You'll have to show me how to change mine and get me motivated to get mine going again.

Yes it was great huh!?! I would have to say that it all came together and I am so glad we decided to do it. It was worth seeing the look on Dad's face:)
